Welcome to the Workshop on Solving Computational Challenges in Medical Imaging (WSCCMI) Website
The rapid advances in the computational capabilities of the modern processors and their affordability have significantly accelerated the development and deployment of various medical imaging technologies. New medical imaging modalities, such as CT, MRI, PET, and ultrasound, and their continuous enhancements, such as 4D ultrasound, multislice CT, Computer Aided Detection (CAD) in MRI, and molecular imaging, have dramatically changed and will continue to change medical practice. However, continuing the rapid advancement in medical imaging technologies and applications requires the concomitant increases in processing power. The University of Washington is pleased to organize a two-day workshop to bring leaders in academia and industry together to discuss the current status, unmet clinical needs, challenges, and opportunities in medical imaging from computational perspectives.
This workshop is jointly sponsored by the following organizations:
University of Washington
IBM
Gedae
CodeSourcery
RapidMind
Singapore University of Washington Alliance (SUWA)
Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE)
Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (EMBS)
The conference program and abstracts are now available.
